Fastening Method of the Heyback Rail Fastening System
The fastening method of the heyback rail fastening system is different from the E-clip rail fastening system and the SKL clip rail fastening system. It uses a side spring clip fastening method.
First, use a coach screw to secure the rail tie plate to the railway sleeper. Then, place the rail onto the rail tie plate. Then, using a sledgehammer or hydraulic installation tool, hammer the J8 heyback clip or J9 heyback clip into the keyway of the rail tie plate from the side.
